Convocation 2025
General (Dr) Vijay Kumar Singh, Hon'ble Governor of Mizoram and Chief Rector of Mizoram University, was the Chief Guest at this prestigious event. Shri Lalduhoma, Hon'ble Chief Minister of Mizoram, was the Guest of Honour.
The Chief Guest, General (Dr) Vijay Kumar Singh, Hon'ble Governor of Mizoram (and Chief Rector of Mizoram University), along with the Guest of Honour, Shri. Lalduhoma, Hon'ble Chief Minister of Mizoram, and Professor Dibakar Chandra Deka, Vice-Chancellor of Mizoram University, planted tree saplings outside the Multipurpose Hall upon their arrival.
The academic procession followed in the order: the Chief Guest, the Guest of Honour, and the Vice-Chancellor, as they entered the Convocation Hall and took their reserved seats.
Professor Dibakar Chandra Deka, Vice-Chancellor of Mizoram University, presided over the Convocation. With the Vice-Chancellor's permission, the Registrar declared the Convocation open. The Vice-Chancellor delivered the Welcome Address and felicitated the dignitaries.
The Vice-Chancellor then conferred degrees, gold medals, and prizes, followed by the presentation of Doctorate Degrees and Gold Medals by the Hon'ble Chief Guest, General (Dr) Vijay Kumar Singh, Hon'ble Governor of Mizoram.
The Chief Guest delivered the Convocation Address, and with the Vice-Chancellor's permission, the Registrar declared the Convocation closed with a vote of thanks.
A total of 7724 degrees were awarded at the 19th Convocation of Mizoram University on 25th March 2025. 1192 candidates arrived in person and a total number of 6532 candidates were absent at the convocation.
